Connect the account and launch
On the Bot page press «Connect Instagram», confirm access inside Instagram itself, publish the flow. Telegram connects right next to it, with the same flow.
A Meta rule: you may message a person within a day of their last message. After that only a human agent or notifications the person opted into. This is not our whim and not a setting to switch off: the engine tracks the window itself, because breaking it costs access to the channel rather than a warning.
The classic scenario of the niche: someone writes a keyword under a post and the bot answers them in direct messages. Permission for comments is requested by the same login as for messages, so no separate setup is involved.
Since August 2026 the European Union requires transparency: a person must understand they are talking to software. Our flows behave that way by default, together with a quick handover to a human on the first request. In practice it also reduces irritation: finding out afterwards is worse than knowing upfront.
Meta rules forbid training models on data obtained through their interfaces. We do not train on it: a language model is used to parse here and now, and the source archive is kept for no longer than 7 days: it is used to build the bot and to check analysis quality, then deleted. Phone numbers, addresses and names are replaced with anonymised placeholders before the text is sent to the model.

Which account type works?
A professional one: business or creator. A personal Instagram account cannot connect messaging to apps; switching the type takes a minute in settings. Access to connecting is granted on request: write to founder@dmhive.io and we add your account within a day.
Do I need a Facebook page?
No. Login goes through Instagram itself, for business and creator accounts. Linking it to a Facebook page is not required.
Can the bot message people who went quiet long ago?
No, and that is a platform limit rather than a service one. Outside the twenty four hour window only a human agent reply and pre-approved notifications people subscribed to are available. The service has no broadcasts at all yet, so there is nothing here to break the rule with.
What about real people in direct messages?
The bot follows the flow, and when a customer asks for a person or the bot does not understand, the conversation goes to an operator: it shows up in the app under Conversations, and the operator's reply goes to the same direct thread.
